Pennsylvania Animal Power Point Unusual Animal Report Students are selecting land animals, researching, and creating a project by designing a poster to aid them in their presentation. The presentation should tell about where their animal/s lives, what their animal/s eat, what their animal/s looks like, and what the adaptations to the habitat are. Students may write their report notes on index cards, or use their posters to help them remember the important facts about their animal during their presentation. What the Animal Looks Like	Beginning Description of animal is inaccurate or does not give any important details. No picture of animal given ,or picture was very small.	Developing Gives a description of animal but leaves out a few important features. Picture is present.	Complete Gives an accurate description of how the animal looks, and has detailed pictures.
About the Animal's Habitat	Beginning Gives little or no details about where the animal is found and includes very few facts about the animal's habitat.	Developing Gives some details about where the animal is found ,but only includes some facts about the animal's habitat.	Complete Details about where the animal is found are given, and many facts are given about this specific habitat.
Animal Adaptation	Beginning Inaccurate and incomplete information is given about the adaptation to its habitat.	Developing Information is correct but not complete about the adaptations to its habitat.	Complete Accurate and complete information about the animal's adaptation to its specific habitat.
About the Animal's Needs	Beginning Does not list any items that the animal eats or how it eats.	Developing Lists one item that the animal eats and explains how it gets to its food.	Complete Gives list of items that animal eats, how it gets to its prey, and includes pictures or additional description of the food scources.
