Name That Tune with Boomwhackers Boomwhacker Performance Directions: Write the letter names of all of the pitches below. In your group, perform each of the melodies using the boomwhackers. Identify the tune and write the name of the song on the line above the melody. There is a song bank and pitch diagram at the bottom of the page to help you. After you have identified all of the tunes, choose one tune to practice and be ready to share out. Remember all of the boomwhacker dos and don’ts. You will be assessed with the following rubric. Pitch Labeling	Poor Some of the pitches are not labeled. There are more than 5 mistakes.	Fair All of the pitches are labeled and most of the pitches are labeled accurately. There are no more than 5 mistakes.	Good All of the pitches are labeled accurately and legibly.
Identification of Tunes	Poor Two or more tunes are identified incorrectly.	Fair One tune is identified incorrectly.	Good All of the tunes are identified correctly and legibly.
Performance Product Practice the melodies using boomwhackers respectfully and prepare to perform one melody.
Boomwhacker Use	Poor Boomwhackers are used in an inappropriate manner.	Fair Boomwhackers are generally used in a respectful manner. Student corrects use after a redirection.	Good Boomwhackers are consistently used in a respectful manner that meets all of the expectations on the Boomwhacker Do s and Don't s charts.
Pitches	Poor Inaccurate pitches are played repeatedly.	Fair There may be up to three inaccurate pitches.	Good Accurate pitches are played consistently.
Rhythms	Poor Inaccurate rhythms are played repeatedly.	Fair There may be up to three inaccurate rhythms.	Good Accurate rhythms are played consistently.
