Biology 1 Biomolecules Poster and Presentation

The students will put together a poster to show during their oral presentation. The poster will contain examples of three biomolecules: carbohydrates, proteins and lipids. The poster will contain illustrations that demonstrate the chemical structure of each biomolecule and may feature an illustration that represents its function in a living system. The poster will reference a specific biomolecule and its significant function in a living system. Each student will provide a written, graphic or oral presentation that demonstrates their individual contribution to the poster.

Work quality/effort	Exceeds The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learners are proud of their work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learners in the time allowed.	Good The work was done with good effort that shows what the learners are capable of. It is evident that time was put into this poster and presentation.	Fair Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learners are capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed.	Poor Work is done with little effort, quality is not what the learners are capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
group work	Exceeds The group worked very well with each other and the presentation was shared equally among the group members.	Good The group worked well with each other and communicated well.
