Characteristics	Advanced 4 Student was able to correctly label all necessary bones, connective tissue and one type of fracture of the skeletal system.	Proficient 3 Student was able to correctly label 18-19 bones in the skeletal system, 2 types of connective tissue and one fracture.	Approaching 2 Student was able to correctly label 17-16 bones of the skeletal system, as well as 1 type of connective tissue and no fracture.	Emerging 1 Student was able to correctly label less than 15 bones of the skeletal system, and no others structures
Visual	Advanced 4 Skeleton was organized correctly and represents a true model of the human form. All necessary requirements are present and recognizable.	Proficient 3 Skeleton is organized correctly and represents a model of the skeletal system. A few areas could use more refinement, but still very recognizable	Approaching 2 Skeleton is recognizable, however some areas are slightly off from the actual human form.	Emerging 1 Skeleton was not identifiable. Rework is needed to show understanding of placement of human bones
Labeling/Defning	Advanced 4 Clearly grasped, labeled and applied knowledge of the skeletal system.	Proficient 3 Previous knowledge is applied, however not all areas are clearly defined or labeled.	Approaching 2 Some understanding of the skeletal make-up is apparent. Not all areas are labeled or defined.	Emerging 1 Thinking not clear - no evidence that knowledge was applied. Revision work is needed for clear understanding
