	Poor 1 pts	Fair 2 pts	Good 3 pts	Excellent 4 pts
Attendance and Punctuality	Poor Has extremely poor attendance. Is frequently late.	Fair Has no more than the maximum allowed unexcused absences. Is seldom late.	Good Has no more than 1 unexcused absence. Is never late.	Excellent Has perfect attendance. Is never late.
Participation & Group Work	Poor Never participates in class. Appears apathetic towards class activities.	Fair Moderate participation in class. Has the answer when called on. Appears interested in class activities.	Good Frequently participates in class, often asks thought provoking questions. Appears enthused about class activities.	Excellent Frequently Participates in class, often asks thought provoking questions, shows much effort in getting involved in all the activities.
Distracting Behaviors	Poor Frequently shows disrespect for others'learning, or frequently distracts the instructor.	Fair Occasionally engages in disruptive actions distracting others and the instructor.	Good Infrequently distracts others from learning, or the instructor from teaching the class.	Excellent Never engages in verbal/nonverbal behavior that is distracting to others or instructor.
General Attitude Towards Learning	Poor Shows litttle evidence of wanting to be in the class to learn the material.	Fair A willing participant in the classroom, and exhibits willingness to learn concepts and course material.	Good Seems interested in learning, makes an above average effort to gain the most out of learning experience.	Excellent Exhibits an extremely concientious and desire to learn the material, and enhance the learning of others in the class.
Croos-cultural awareness	Poor Shows little or no understanding of other people's feelings.	Fair Shows some understanding and respect towards other people's feelings and tries to accept each indivudal's singularities	Good Understands other people's feelings and accepts each individual's singularities	Excellent Has a mature approach to otherness and can fully understand and sympathise with other people'e feelings showing a tolerant attitude
