Rubric to assess the design and graphic work of students laying out a scaled drawing of the wood shop. Should include tools and equipment.

Measurements	Excellent All the shop tools were measured correctly and then laid out onto graph paper in a manner that is usable in the shop	Acceptable Most of the shop tools were measured correctly and laid out onto the graph paper in a manner that is usable in the shop	Unacceptable A majority of the tools were not measured or incorrectly.
Completeness	Excellent All necessary details are contained within the layout. All equipment is shown on the layout and also explanation of what to do with tools that did not fit.	Acceptable There are some details missing in the layout such as pieces of equipment. Some tools are missing.	Unacceptable There are many details missing from the layout, such as size of room, measurement of tools and tools that cannot be placed in shop.
Accuracy	Excellent Shop room is measured correctly and a scale is accurate.	Acceptable Some details are not shown and cause only minor mistakes to the rest of the drawing.	Unacceptable There are a significant number of errors or misplaced details. These mistakes may cause the rest of the layout to be off to some extent, such as scale of the shop used to draw room.
Proper Notes	Excellent Proper labels were used to identify the important tools that were to be placed in the shop.	Acceptable Some minor labels describing the drawing were left out. Some of the tool labels are missing.	Unacceptable There are a significant number of labels are missing from the drawing. Many of the tools are not labeled.
Craft	Excellent Lines are drawn cleanly. The lines are also straight and the drawing equipment was used properly in the layout.	Acceptable Some line are jagged because a straight edge was not used. Drawing is somewhat sloppy.	Unacceptable Lines were freehanded and the boxes representing the tools were not neatly placed on the graph paper or cut out.
