Creativity	Exemplary Artist has developed an innovative, original and creative drawing. Student took chances and explored several types of tools, styles and techniques during the development of the artwork. Student embraced changes to original concept to create dynamic and interesting work.	Good Artist has developed a mostly original and creative drawing. Student branched out and took chances and explored multiple tools, styles and techniques during the development of the artwork. Student invited original idea to evolve and change.	Fair Artist has developed unoriginal and an uncreative drawing. Student did not branch out or take chances and did not explore multiple tools, styles and techniques during the development of the artwork. Student's original idea did not alter and remained the same as original brainstorm.	Poor Severely lacking in many respects.
Craftsmanship	Exemplary Artist maintains a clean and organized work environment. Though there is much experimentation during the process, the student shows care for materials, studio space and the outcome of artwork.	Good Artist maintains a mostly clean and mostly organized work environment. Though there is some experimentation during the process, the student shows some care for materials, studio space and the outcome of artwork.	Fair Artist maintains an unclean and unorganized work environment. The experimentation of materials has resulted in disorder and messes on the artwork and in the studio.	Poor Severely lacking in many respects.
Effort	Exemplary Artist worked hard during entire duration of assignment. Student engaged and persisted and maximized class time without reminders.	Good Artist worked during most of the assignment duration. Student engaged and persisted only when prompted by teacher.	Fair Artist worked during some of assignment duration. Student hardly challenged oneself.	Poor Severely lacking in many respects.
