This drawing assignment challenges you to look closely at your objects - fruits and vegetables. What colors do you see? We know bananas are usually yellow, green and brown hues but as we look more closely we realize that there is a much wider spectrum of visible color - shades, tints and a large spectrum of colors. We are going to closely observe multiple arrangements of fruits and vegetables and try to accurately convey their colors and shapes onto paper.

This rubric focuses on the student's Artistic Intent as they explore social justice&diverse cultures - When creating art, students are employing technique in service of what they intend to express, evoke, communicate. Are these intentions understood by the viewer in the same way in either a specific, indirect or culturally consistent presentation? Through art making and art class activities, are students conveying increased understanding of social justice and diverse cultures(artistic intent)?

Sketch 24 Trees - This is a study of brainstorming, All different from one another.

This project challenges you to examine and then create your own canone or system of an existing or imaginary character. The drawing will convey proportions that match the system you have chosen and further remind everyone that ideal and not real.

A successful still life drawing conveys that you understand many core art concepts. You will be creating a series of still life compositions.
