Othello Soundtrack Romeo and Juliet Soundtrack Students will create a soundtrack for the play Othello by William Shakespeare. They will write an explanation of why each song was chosen and how it relates to the scene chosen. Completion	Excellent Student wrote a summary for the five acts.	Good Student wrote summaries for four acts.	Fair Student wrote a complete summary for 3 acts.	Poor Student wrote a complete summary of 1-2 acts.
Content	Excellent Student is able to support all song choices with well developed explanations.	Good Student is at ease with the content, but failes to elaborate on explanations.	Fair Student is uncomfortable with the content. Student chose songs that related to the scenes but is unable to explain how.	Poor Student does not have a grasp of the content. The explanations of the song choices do not show a relationship to the scenes chosen. Lyrics and quotes do not relate or were missing.
References	Excellent Student supports each song with textual evidence or dialogue and explains its use in depth.	Good Student supports each song with textual evidence or dialogue and explains its use.	Fair Student fails to include dialogue from the text in all explanations.	Poor Student did not use quotes from the scenes.

Explanation was lacking details about how the songs relate to the scenes.	Fair Student presented 2 songs without explanations.	Poor Student presented 1 song.
