Students are to keep a reflective blog through GeoBlogger or KidBlog. They will keep a journal of their weekly activities.

	Far Below Standard Student has shown minimum effort to meet the required standards 1 pts	Below Standard Student has not met the standard for completion. 2 pts	Meets Standard Students has completed assignment meeting all requirements 3 pts	Exceeds Standards Student has gone beyond the requirements for the anssignment. 4 pts
Weekly Journal Entry Enter description	Far Below Standard Student has not completed a journal entry for each week. Journal entries are sporadic and incomplete.	Below Standard Student has a journal entry for almost every week or journal entries are present from each week, but are poorly written or incomplete.	Meets Standard Student has a journal entry for each week and journal entries are thorough and describe each week's activities.	Exceeds Standards Student has written more than one journal entry for each week or journal entries are extremely detailed and thorough.
Blog Edits Students will edit their blog on a regular basis to improve quality, detail, and correctness of their writing.	Far Below Standard Student has not edited their blog entries and has only one draft of any and all entries.	Below Standard Student has edited their blog few times throughout the project or edits to blog entries have not improved.	Meets Standard Student has edited their blog regularly. Edits improve the quality, detail, and correctness of the writing.	Exceeds Standards Student edits their blog weekly or more. Edits improve the quality, detail, and correctness of the writing.
Grammar and Conventions Enter description	Far Below Standard Student's blog does not show care with grammar and conventions.	Below Standard Student's blog shows some care with grammar and conventions. Mistakes are limited to 3-5 errors per week.	Meets Standard Student's blog shows thoughtfulness with grammar and conventions.Errors are limited to 1-3 errors per week.	Exceeds Standards Student has carefully written each blog entry with concern toward grammar and conventions. There are a few sporadic errors throughout the blog, if any.
Collaborative Comments Students will collaborate with other students by commenting on at least two peer blogs each week.	Far Below Standard Students did not comment at all or commented sporadically throughout the project.	Below Standard Students commented only once per week or comments do not show thoughtfulness in content.	Meets Standard Students commented twice per week or show thoughtfulness through questions and content of comments.	Exceeds Standards Students comment at least twice per week. Comments are thoughtful and ask questions of their peers.
