Tempo and dynamics

Tempo is how fast or slow the song moves and dynamics describe the way the song ebbs and flows in relation to volume etc.

The tempo, rhythm and dynamics complete the overall song and experience. Smooth transitions and the use of volume is present.

Tempo and rhythm are consistent. The dynamics flow, but could be used more fluently.

Tempo and rhythm are coming together. There is more than one tempo that doesn't distracts the song. Two dynamics are present, but there are choppy transitions.
Needs Improvment

The song is choppy with a unnatural mix of tempo. It has no change in dynamics.
Loops

A loop is a sample that is repeated. An example is a drum beat.

High Quality

A complex flow of loops are used creating subtle changes, accents and highlights in the song.

3-4 loops are starting to add more character to the song.

Song has only one basic loop.
Audience Response

How the audience of your peers react to your song.

High Quality

You have a hit on your hands. Students laugh out loud, hoot, shoot, dance and give enormous praise to your song. They may even seek copies of your masterpiece.
Decent

The overall group interact with the song with body movement, laughter, talk or dance. Many comments follow the playing of the song.
Work in Progress

Some peers may tap their foot, smile occasionally and nod the the rhythm. They make a few comments, but not many.
Needs Improvment

Song has little or no impact on your peers. They sit and listen quietly, but have little to say about it.
