Create a card for 15 - 20 of the challenging words in your book. Pleas print the word on one card, illustrate it on another card, and write a sentence using the word on the third card.

	Good 3 pts	Fair 2 pts	Poor 1 pts
Format	Good Includes: the vocabulary word on one card, a picture on anothe card, and a sentence that helps describe the definition on another card.	Fair Includes all the required parts but the sentence might not be very useful. Might be missing the picture.	Poor Is missing a word. Is missing a picture. Is missing the sentence.
Neatness/Effort	Good Above and beyond effort shown to make cards look neat and clear. Text is written or printed neatly.	Fair The card is fairly neat.	Poor These cards look very rushed and sloppy.
Pictures	Good Pictures are colorful and/or show great detail.	Fair It looks like some effort went into drawing the pictures. It might not be colored or the text might all be in pencil.	Poor Pictures show very little effort or creativity.
Sentence	Good Sentence uses vocabulary term correctly.	Fair Sentence is a little confusing how it is written.	Poor Sentence does not use vocabulary term correctly.
Mechanics	Good All of the words are spelled correctly.	Fair Most of the words are spelled correctly.	Poor Some of the words are spelled correctly.
Punctuality	Good Vocabulary Cards were completed on or before the day they were due.	Fair Vocabulary Cards were completed one day late.	Poor Vocabulary Cards were completed more than one day late.
