Has an appropriate title giving the reader a clear understanding of the writing genre and subject.

Has a title but it is a little vague on writing genre or subject.

It has no title.

Statements are written in sequential order to explain how the simple machine works. Should include:
-What it is used for.
-What each part does.
-How the parts work together.
-How to use it.

Most ideas are in the correct sequence and includes at least one:
-What it is used for.
-What each part does.
-How the parts work together.
-How to use it.

Ideas are all mixed up and in no sequence. Does not include:
-What it is used for.
-What each part does.
-How the parts work together.
-How to use it.

Concluding statement sums up the process explained and introduces an interesting fact about the process.

Concluding statement sums up the process explained OR introduces an interesting fact about the process.

There is no concluding statement, the last thing written is merely the last step in the process.
