Split-Faced Self-Portrait

Students will draw half a realistic self-portrait by looking in a mirror and drawing what they see. Then they will draw the other side of the self-portrait abstractly by drawing who they don't think others see about them. They may use symbols, shapes, objects, and words.

Creativity	15 Very little attempt is evident in the abstract side to be aesthetically pleasing.	10 The abstract half uses some colors, shading, shapes, objects, and/or words to represent the artist.
