Evaluation Criteria
	Poor 5 pts	Fair 10 pts	Good 15 pts	Excellent 20 pts
Safety 20 pts General Safety and safe attitude.	Poor Is a danger to himself/herself and those around him.	Fair A potential hazard to work around. Observes safety rules some of the time -- when it is convenient.	Good Observes safety rules most of the time but not all of the time.	Excellent Constantly aware of his/her responsibilites to himself/herself and others.
Tools 20 pts Proper use of tools & equipment	Poor Does not respect tools and is careless around them. Does not take time to learn proper procedures. Never puts tools back. Does not keep tools sharp or inspect/maintain tools.	Fair Has some understanding of proper tool use and care. Sometime puts tools away. Sometimes asks about proper procedures if he/she does not understand.	Good Has a good understanding of procedures and usually meets expectations.	Excellent Fully understands procedures and always meets expectations.
Fabrication fundamentals 20 pts Fabrication Procedures & Layout Methods.	Poor Does not follow plans, procedures or directions. <BR> Does not use lay-out tools or measuring instruments correctly. Cannot perform basic shop math as it relates to project lay -out. Never de-burrs parts or radius's edges/corners.	Fair Has some understanding of procedures and attempts fabricating parts of project within plan tolerances.	Good Has a good understanding of procedures and is almost always within tolerance of measurements.	Excellent Fully understands procedures and is always accurate with measurements.
Quality Control 20 pts Quality of workmanship	Poor Has absolutely no interest in working hard to do the best job. Wastes material. Will not take time to think things through or prototype.	Fair Not very particular with how the product looks or how well it functions. Does only what is absolutely necessary. Does not pay attention to details.	Good Likes to see a finished and functional product at the end of fabrication. Will leave items out even though there is time to correct.	Excellent Takes pride in his/her work.<BR> Keeps trying working until problems are figured out and the desired results are achieved. Pays attention to the small details.
Time Management 20 pts Degree of Completion	Poor Puts no effort into projects.	Fair Does project but wastes a lot of time during class. Does not focus on project.	Good Completes work but does not allow any time for corrections or improvements.	Excellent Completes work ahead of time and checks over finished product carefully.
