Creativity	Exceeds Standards Writing is extremely creative. Ideas and style convey a convincing story/narrative	Meets Standards Writing is somewhat creative. Some convincing ideas	Almost Meets Standards Writing contains a few creative ideas but style is mostly uninspired.	Does Not Meet Standards Writing contains almost no creative ideas
Spelling and Grammar	Exceeds Standards Proper use of spelling and grammar is employed consistently throughout the writing assignment.	Meets Standards There are a few spelling and grammar errors, however it does not take away from the overall quality of the writing assignment.	Almost Meets Standards Poor spelling and grammar subtract from the overall effectiveness of this piece.	Does Not Meet Standards Excess spelling and grammar errors make it difficult to comprehend the meaning of the piece.
