Book Project Scoring Rubric

This rubric will be used to score student book projects based on each group members contribution as well as the final project. The grade will be a combination of their project and their knowledge of the book's narrative elements.

Good 15 Project demonstrates good comprehension of text using details from the text and providing examples of setting, events characters, and literary elements.	Fair 10 Project demonstrates fair comprehension of text using details from the text and providing examples of setting, events characters, and literary elements.	Poor 5 Project demonstrates poor comprehension of text using details from the text and providing examples of setting, events characters, and literary elements.
Adherance to Project Directions	Excellent 20 Project does an excellent job adhering to directions and is highly visually appealing.	Good 15 Project does a good job adhering to directions and is visually appealing.	Fair 10 Project does a fair job adhering to directions and is somewhat visually appealing.	Poor 5 Project does a poor job of adhering to directions and lacks visual appeal.
Creativity, Organization & Neatness	Excellent 20 Within project guidelines, project shows excellent thought, creativity, organization and neatness.	Good 15 Within project guidelines, project shows good use of initiative and creativity. Final project is neatly presented and easy to follow.	Fair 10 Within project guidelines, project shows nominal creativity. Some parts are attractive but could be better.	Poor 5 Within the project guidelines, project lacks creativity. Appears to be rushed with no care as to final results.

Fair 10 Overall presentation is adequate, but not showing your best work.	Poor 5 Overall presentation is poor and lacks enthusiasm.
