Poetry Project Poetry Project Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create an original poem and original representation of the poem ( visual, sculpture, song). Rhyme Scheme	Limited The rhyme scheme does not follow the poetic structure.	Acceptable The rhyme scheme somewhat follows the poetic structure.	Proficient The rhyme scheme follows the poetic structure.
Figurative Language	Limited There is no use of figurative language.	Acceptable There is at least one to two examples of figurative language.	Proficient There are more than two examples of figurative language.
