1) the structure and primary function(s) of the organelle; 2) how the organelle interacts with other organelles in the cell; 3) the importance of the organelle to normal cellular function; and 4) a model, other graphic or descriptive representation of their organelle.

Exceeds

Includes all 11 organelles with all information relevant to the topic in an organized fashion. (22 points)
Good

Includes all relevant information; however, it is not very well-organized. (18 points)
Fair

There is not enough information included. Information is presented in an unorganized fashion. (14 points)
Poor

The presentation does not include the required elements. There are many gaps in information presented. (12 points)
Individual work quality/effort
15 pts

Each individual student is responsible for his or her own portion.

The student completes all tasks. The work done exceeds all expectations and shows that the learner is proud of their work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner in the time allowed. (15 points)
Good

The student completes most of the tasks. The work was done with good effort that shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this presentation. (13 points)
Fair

The student does not complete some of the tasks. Work is done with fair effort, but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed. (11 points)
Poor

The student fails to complete virtually all tasks. Work is done with little effort, and the quality is not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete. (9 points)

Poor

The group did not communicate well and there was considerable amount of disagreement. Not all students participated. (2 points)
Creativity
25 pts

Students complete a project and presentation that simply did not memorize, list and regurgitate the organelles and each function. Students showed creativity and neatness in completion of project/presentation.

Exceeds

The student group worked together to be very creative with the project/presentation. (25 points)
Good

The student group worked together to be mostly creative with the project/presentation. (22 points)

The student group worked together to be somewhat creative with the project/presentation. (19 points)
