This is intended to be a generic rubric for anyone intending on producing a storyboard for a short film that is between 30 seconds and 5 minutes in length.

Director's Notes

They is a clear lack of detail in shot descriptions, titles, transitions or anything else.

They are some notes on titles, transitions and special effects.
The audio(dialogue, music or sound effects) are clearly noted. There are some gaps in planning and an onlooker may have a few questions.

There are detailed notes on titles, transitions and special effects.
The audio(dialogue, music or sound effects) are clearly noted. Anyone can read them without questions.
Simple Sketches
Poor
The storyboard is incomplete due to poor sketches and a clear lack of detail. Type of shots are not noted.
Fair
The storyboard is complete with sketches for most shots. A person may need to ask clarifying questions in order to understand the sketches.
Good
The storyboard is complete with sketches for each shot of each scene. The type of framing is clearly noted. Anyone can look and tell what's happening in the skecthes.
Collaboration
Poor
There was little evidence of cooperation. The teacher had to facilitate much of the group work and discussion
Fair
All group members worked cooperatively most of the time without need for teacher intervention.
