Oral Presentation of Famous Painter

You will be assigned a famous painter. You have to work in pairs. Your artist can be from any period; gothic, baroque, renaissance or contemporary. You must research your painter and select a piece of art to present it to the class. Also you have to write about this painter and his masterpiece. PLEASE BE AWARE: Students must maintain a good behavior in the classroom while others present otherwise points will be deducted,

Oral Presentation We need to present an oral report about the research which lasts for at least 1 minute but no longer than 2 minutes.	Excellent Very detailed and between 1 & 2 minutes long. No Hesitations, no ums and ohs.	Good Goes between 1 & 2 minutes. Good detail.	Fair Goes for under 1 minute or over 2 minutes. Either too quick or long. Limited detail.	Poor Goes for under 1 minute or over 2 minutes. Hard to understand. Boring!
Visual Presentation We need to use additional aids to enhance my oral presentation such as posters, video, cardboard (mampara) photos, etc.	Excellent Visual Aids were clearly seen by audience and information was gained by the visual presentation.	Good Visual Aids were sometimes hard to see by the audience and occasionally information was not gained from the visual presentation	Fair Visual aids were hard to see and information was not necessarily gained from the visual presentation. Presentation Skills We need to speak clearly, have eye contact and use expression while presenting.	Excellent Expressed opinion in detail with 3 or more reasons. Good Expressed opinion adequately with at least 2 reasons.Clear speaking voice, eye contact, movement around the room and classroom engagement is evident in some parts of the presentation	Fair Expressed opinion with only 1 reason. Clear speaking voice with some eye contact, movement around the room and classroom engagement is only observed occasionally.	Poor Expressed opinion vaguely and lacks detail. Clear speaking voice but little eye contact, movement around the room and classroom engagement is rarely observe.
Written Work We need to write at least 7 facts about our famous painter.	Excellent Wrote 7 or more facts with no grammar errors (articles, gender agreement, contractions, verb agreement and spelling). Followed all directions.	Good Wrote 7 or more facts with no more than 2 grammatical errors (articles, gender agreement, contractions, verb agreement and spelling). Followed most of the directions.	Fair Wrote 7 or more facts with 3 or more grammatical errors (articles, gender agreement, contractions, verb agreement and spelling). Followed some of the directions.	Poor Wrote 4 or less facts with many grammatical errors (articles, gender agreement, contractions, verb agreement and spelling). Did not follow directions.
