	Excellence 20 pts	Good 15 pts	Fair 10 pts	Poor 5 pts
Identify the problem	Excellence Full understanding of the problem is evident. Student's project meets all criteria identified in the "problem".	Good The problem is identified verbally and the project meets most of the criteria.	Fair Problem is identified and only meets less than half of the criteria.	Poor Problem not understood and project did not meet criteria.
Brainstorm	Excellence All materials are listed and have explanations for their use.	Good All materials are listed and some have explanations for use.	Fair Some materials are listed and only some have explanations.	Poor No material list and no explanation for use.
Design	Excellence Multiple designs were created and the designs were labeld and measured. Designs were clear and concise.	Good Multiple designs created with partial labels and some designs were very clear.	Fair 2 or less designs made and only some labled.	Poor 1 design made and no explanations.
Build	Excellence Build matched the prototype and was modified from original design to accomplish tasks.	Good Build was simialr to build and accomplished some of the tasks required.	Fair Build was different from design and wasn't thought out.	Poor Build was just built without design.
Solution	Excellence Final project build was able to complete required tasks and followed all constraints. Final design was well constructed and had matching designs on paper.	Good Final project build was neatly designed, stayed on budget, and completed required tasks.	Fair Final project was built with minimal effort and only met a few restraints/constraints.	Poor Final project didn't advance from prototype and didn't achieve required task.
