Efficient The writing contains 4 or more properly written paragraphs that tell the story.	Developing The writing contains 3 properly written paragraphs that tell the story.	Emerging The writing contains 2 properly written paragraphs that tell the story.
Spelling	Efficient There are 0-2 spelling errors.	Developing There are 3-5 spelling errors.	Emerging There are more than 6 spelling errors.
Grammar & Punct./Capt.	Efficient Paragraph has 0-2 errors in punctuation, capitalization, and noun-verb agreement.	Developing Paragraph has 3-5 errors in punctuation, capitalization, and noun-verb agreement.	Emerging Paragraph has more than 6 errors in punctuation, capitalization, and noun-verb agreement.
Opinion	Efficient The opinion of the writer is completely visible and well structured throughout the text.	Developing The opinion of the writer is somewhat visible and structured throughout the text.	Emerging The opinion is not visible. Instead of giving an opinion, the writer just shares information like a presentation.
