Introduction	Exemplary The project addresses the prompt in a creative way that goes beyond what is called for.	Proficient The project addresses the prompt, but the rationale may not be clear.	Emerging The project only addresses the prompt partially, or the rationale is not clear at all.	Developing The project does not address the prompt.
Task	Exemplary All areas of the task were addressed and handled with a high degree of sophistication. The plan followed by the student demonstrated a great deal of thought.	Proficient At least one area of the task was not addressed. The plan followed by the student demonstrated a great deal of thought.	Emerging At least two areas of the task were not addressed. The plan followed by the student demonstrated a moderate level of thought.	Developing The task is incomplete and/or it is apparent that little effort went into the development of the task.
Originality	Exemplary The ideas expressed by the body of work demonstrate a high degree of originality.	Proficient The ideas expressed by the body of work are mostly original. The student may have improved upon a previous idea.	Emerging The ideas expressed by the body of work demonstrate a low degree of originality.	Developing There were no original ideas expressed in this project.
Format	Exemplary The project is done in the correct format.	Proficient The project follows the correct format, but it may be incomplete or not neat.	Emerging The project may not follow the correct format, or it may be messy.	Developing The project is not in the correct format and it is messy.
