Experimentation	Excellent Student attempted 3 or more practice combinations before embarking on final media. Student used media that they were familiar with and pushed new limits of their capabilities.	Good Student attempted 2 or 3 practice combinations before embarking on final media. Student used media that they were familiar with and somewhat pushed themselves to higher quality.	Fair Student attempted 1 practice combination before embarking on final media. Student used media that they were familiar with and did not seem to accomplish any new techniques.	Poor Student made no attempts to experiment.
Media Combinations	Excellent Student chose 4 or more media and discovered how to make them work well together. The media compliments the artwork and makes it interesting to look at.
