Setting	Emerging Student has added minimal details to the setting and the setting is unclear.	Progressing Student has provided a few details to the setting and the setting is evident.	Proficient Student has provided some some details to the setting and it is evident how the setting is important to the plot, or what happens in the story.	Exceeding Student has provided provide multiple details to the setting and it is evident how the setting is important to the plot, or what happens in the story.
Sensory Details	Emerging The student has used no sensory details to help the reader understand the character's actions.	Progressing The student has used very little sensory details to help the reader understand the character's actions.	Proficient The student has used few sensory details to help the reader understand the character's actions.	Exceeding The student has used many sensory details to help the reader understand the character's actions.
Use of Relative Pronouns	Emerging The student did not use any of the relative pronouns.	Progressing The students usage of relative pronouns is minimal and comma usage is not present.
