Format	Exemplary Well Done! Student followed the provided format. The coroner's report was typed, completely filled out, and in Times New Roman font.	Accomplished Good Job! Student followed the provided format, but did not fill out all of the necessary areas.	Developing needs more effort Student carelessly followed format. The font was different and/or not all of the information was provided.	Needs Improvement Student carelessly followed format. The coroner's report was different from the one provided and font was changed and/or information was lacking.
Anatomical Terms	Exemplary Well Done! Anatomical terms were used accurately within the coroner's report.	Accomplished Good Job! Most of the anatomical terms were used accurately, minor corrections.	Developing needs more effort Most of the anatomical terms were used accurately, however there were a few major mistakes.	Needs Improvement Anatomical terms were used carlessly and without thought. More than a few major mistakes.
Physiological Cause of Death	Exemplary Well Done! Students developed a valid and plausible physiological cause of death. Provided many details and supporting facts for their case.	Accomplished Good Job! Students developed a valid cause of death, but did not document it clearly with supporting facts on the coroner's report.	Developing needs more effort The validity of the cause of death is in question, but students did provide some evidence and facts for their case.	Needs Improvement The validity of the cause of death is very questionable and there were very few details or supporting facts for their case.

Student research is evident but could have been enhanced through more supporting details.
