Understanding of idiom	Poor Student has no understanding of the idioms. Cannot explain the meaning of the chosen idiom and/or did not design a literal interpretation of idiom.	Average Student shows understanding of the idioms. Does an adequate job explaining the idiom and/or interpreted the idiom in an adequate fashion.	Excellent Student shows an excellent understanding of the chosen idioms. Is able to explain the meaning of the idiom and designed a literal interpretation of the idiom.
Presentation of images	Poor Student has spent little or no time on project. Project is thrown together and very messy. Idioms not presented well to the class. Student did not know material.	Average Student has spent some time on the project. Project may be slightly messy. Idioms presented fine to the class. Student somewhat knew material.	Excellent Student has obviously spent time and attention on the project. Project is attractive. Idioms presented in an excellent way to the class. Student knew material.
Creativity	Poor Project shows no creativity. Most audience members cannot visually interpret the idiom.	Average Project is creative. Most members of audience are able to visually interpret idiom.	Excellent Project is very creative and clever. All audience members are able to understand the idiom visually.
