Class Participation
	Excellent 10 pts	Good 8 pts	Fair 7 pts	Poor 6 pts
Attitude	Excellent Student shows excellent attitude and behavior during the class. Shows maturity and discipline beyond their years.	Good Student displays a good attitude during class	Fair Student displays a reasonable attitude during class.	Poor Student displays a poor attitude during class.
Knowledge	Excellent Student retains all aspects of the class and shows examples of insight and connections to future classes	Good Student retains knowledge of class.	Fair Student retains some knowledge of class (eg history, genres, composers)	Poor Student does not retain knowledge of class
Participation	Excellent Student participates in class through answering and asking questions, giving input, and showing excellence on his or her individual part on their instrument. Student always arrives on time.	Good Student participates in class through answering and asking questions, giving input, and performing his or her individual part on their instrument. Student usually arrives on time.	Fair Student performs some of his or her individual part on their instrument. Student rarely arrives on time	Poor Student does not answer or ask questions during class. Students does not perform his or her individual part on their instrument. Student never arrives on time.
