Oil Spill Science Experiment

Students are to perform an experiment which will be conducted in class. Projects must include the problem, hypothesis, step by step experiment instructions and illustrations that show the process. Students state their conclusion explaining if the experiment supported their hypothesis. Students also discuss how the results will be applied to future examples of how to further the experiment.

Quality of Experiment	Excellent Terraqua was built to high quality standards. Experiment was done exactly as planned and no steps were forgotten. Lab documents were completely filled out.	Good Terraqua was completed. Experiment was mostly done with minimal mistakes. Lab documents mostly done.	Fair Terraqua was built but it's missing parts or parts don't fit. Experiment was performed but steps were definitely missed. Lab documents are messy and steps missed.	Poor All aspects of experiment were done carelessly or not turned in.
Participation and Cooperation	Excellent Student worked well with team and went above and beyond in the performance of the experiment, lab documentation and presentation. Poor Student presentation is missing most elements of experimental design. Detail is also lacking.
