Subject	Poor No clear subject. Did not use the character created at the beginning of the unit.	Fair Used fictional character created at the beginning of the unit but not clear outline.	Good Clear storyline and excellent use of the fictional character.
Grammar	Poor Misspellings and little or not puncuation. No paragraphs.	Fair Few misspellings and some punctuation. Paragraphs included!	Good No misspellings and correct punctuation throughout the entire piece. Paragraphs arranged correctly
Visual	Poor Student used visual that was not related to their short story. Did very little work on the visual.	Fair Student showed some creativity but did not represent their short story well	Good Student exhibited a great deal of creativity and represented each detail of their short story.
