Drama Tableau 
Students are to work together in groups of 4-5 to create a 4-scene tableau, complete with a Story Board to present to an audience. The story must be clear, as well as characters being developed.

Character portrayals are relevant to the story and well thought out.
Each scene portrays an important moment of the story that is mostly clear to the audience. It is evident which story is being performed.
Exceeds Expectations

Character portrayals are accurate and demonstrate an excellent grasp of story structure. Each tableau clearly portrays an important moment--a successful and effective performance of 4 scenes that reveal a complete story.
Presentation

Failing Expectations

There is no consideration of body positioning evident.
Poses are not planned.
A lot of movement and silliness. Lack of attention to facial expression.
Minimally Meets Expectations

Character portrayals are sloppy, lack effort, and show little expression.
Character portrayals show little attention to detail. Some movement visible. Needs more planning.
Meets Expectations

Character portrayals are solid, but not spectacular. Character portrayals show some attention to detail. Facial expressions are intentional.
Little to no movement. Pictures are pretty good.
Exceeds Expectations

Character portrayals are very strong, showing effort and expression.
Character portrayals show close attention to detail. No movement. Pictures are planned with excellence.

Not all group members are participating. Group does not focus on the task.

Some members show a reluctance to participate.
Group is neither cooperative nor cohesive. Group needs to use class time more effectively.

Group is very cooperative and cohesive.
Group is very focused on the assigned task.
