15 points: Minimally applies and incorporates one or more theories.

20-25 points: Adequately incorporates some aspects of the two theories, but could elaborate more.

30 points: Provides a detailed and knowledgeable examination of two or more learning theories and their use in the classroom.

0 points: Rote recitation of facts and figures.

12 points: Attempts to weave information into examples familiar to the reader, but ends up creating confusion or making the piece more difficult to read.

16 points: Handles the enrichment of the writing with interesting anecdotes and examples with a deft touch, keeping the reader both entertained and informed.

20 points: Manages to enthrall the reader with very relevant and insightful bits of writing that are utilized to create an interesting and dynamic work that flows effortlessly from sentence to sentence.

2.5 points: Does not meet the assigned word count, nor does it fulfill standard writing requirements.

5 points: Gives some effort to meet word count requirement, needed content in order to fulfill necessary requirements.

7.5 points: Gives good effort to meet word count requirement, needs more thought to fulfill necessary requirements.

10 points: Meets word count and or goes beyond with excellent use of the material at hand.
