Approaching Shows some insight into character thoughts, actions and/or motivations; however, interpretation is mostly literal. Usually supports inferences with text references. Shows Active Reading Strategies Student attempts to make a text-to-self, text-to-text, or text-to-world connection by using various Active Reading Strategies.
