Student is uncomfortable with information and is able to answer only rudimentary questions.

Student is at ease with expected answers to all questions, but fails to elaborate.
Excellent

Student demonstrates full knowledge (more than required) by answering all class questions with explanations and elaboration.
Mechanics

Poor

Student does not use correct bowing/sticking/phrasing.
Fair

Student uses occasionally correct bowing/sticking/phrasing.
Good

Student consistently uses correct bowing/sticking/phrasing.
Excellent

Student shows a mastery of bowing/sticking/phrasing and does so with ease.
Performance Etiquette

Poor

Student is improperly dressed, has no music, does not have their composer's dates, tuned instrument.
Fair

Student is dressed acceptably, has music, does not have composer's dates, instrument isn't tuned.
Good

Student is well dressed, has their music, tuned instrument, and composer's dates.
Excellent

Student is well dressed, has their music, tuned instrument and composer's dates with a brief background of their piece.
