Scale Model 
Students act as architects hired to design a home for a client. Students use the design process to create plans for a house using CAD and then create a scale model to suit.

Able to build a model but with structural problems. Difficulty with tools, materials.

Not able to build a model. Difficulty working with the model material and constructing a 3D piece from 2D materials.

Meets Expectations

Model includes at least two accurate cutaways (wall section and typical roof truss). Makes creative use of recycled materials. Model is eye catching, i.e. form/landscaping/texture.

Model includes cutaways but no recycled materials and/or lacks visual appeal.

Model doesn't include cutaways and is not very visually appealing.

House model is not complete due to poor work habits.
