	Needs Improvement The student is not able to complete the task independently and needs to be re-taught the skill in a different way. 1 pts	Fair Student gets the basic concept, but needs teacher support. 2 pts	Good The student is able to complete the skill but still needs aids to help get the correct answers. 3 pts	Excellent Student is able to do the skill independently! 4 pts
Use of manipulatives/aids The student may use aids to help him/her solve a problem.	Needs Improvement The student is unable to use any of the aids in place to help them solve. The student is not independent in this skill.	Fair The student does not independently seek out a manipulative or aid to help them, or needs teacher assistance to remember how to use the aids correctly.	Good The student uses one or two manipulatives or aids to help solve the problem (touch points, number line, counters or fingers.)	Excellent The student does not need manipulatives or aids to help solve the problem.
Correct answers The student is able to correctly identify the answers.	Needs Improvement The student made many mistakes and is not able to self correct any of their answers.	Fair The student made a few mistakes and needs help to fix some of the mistakes.	Good The student may have a few mistakes, but is able to self-correct when they are pointed out.	Excellent The student completes the task without any mistakes.
