Oral Presentation Rubric

Writing assignment on a given topic that shows evidence of a solid understanding of historical perspective.

This rubric will be used to evaluate a paragraph comparing social injustices affecting our Canadian Indigenous Peoples (historically and currently).

The final project is on a project topic of choice that strongly demonstrates understanding of factoring relating to Sport Psychology.

Create a board game that reflects Texas Student expectations/TEKS. You must create a rules page that describes how to play and each detail of the game. You must include higher level thinking questions that reflect the Bloom's Taxonomy list. The game board must be at least 8.5x11 in. and must be on a heavy weighted paper or board. Questions must be printed by hand or typed. You must turn in your draft game board on Tuesday. Final project will be due and presented on the following Friday.

Students will create a magazine advertisement using persuasive details and emotional appeals, and effective adversiting techniques; complete with logo and word choice. Students also will provide a reflection, stating what their product is, why they have chosen to advertise it in a particular way and what audience they are marketing their product for.

Create a board game that reflects aspects of the entire novel. Questions that show insight will earn higher marks than those that are simply recall questions. Your board game can be based on one that is already in existence such as Monopoly or Trivial Pursuit. The final project should include connections between the novel and other real world or fictional experiences, plot points that show the plot progression, vocabulary words from the novel and their definitions and materials that reflect the major characters from the novel.
