Sentences	level 1 I wrote less than 2 sentences about the picture or topic. The sentences do not all relate to the picture.	Level 2 I wrote 2-3 sentences about the picture or topic. Most of the sentences make sense.	Level 3 I wrote 4 sentences about the picture or topic. All of the sentences make sense.
Capitalization	level 1 Very few of my sentences start with a capital letter. Very few	Level 2 Most of my sentences start with a capital letter.Most of my	Level 3 All of my sentences start with a capital letter. All of my proper nouns start with a capital letter.
Spacing	level 1 I wrote only 1-2 words on each line and then went to the next line for each sentence. My letters and words are bunched together.	Level 2 Most of my sentences are aligned to the left column. Mot of my letters and words are NOT bunched together.	Level 3 My sentences flow from one line to the next. My sentences are aligned tot he left column and indented for new paragraphs. All my words and letters are properly spaced.
Punctuation	level 1 None of my sentences have a punctuation mark at the end.	Level 2 Some of my sentences do not have a punctuation mark at the end.	Level 3 Each of my sentences end with a punctuation mark.
