Science Lab Safety Poster/Cartoon/Brochure/story Rubric

Students pairs must design a safety poster or brochure illustrating one of the safety rules discussed in class. Individual students could choose to write a science lab safety fictional story or create a cartoon on Lab safety.

Safety symbols present.	Good Minimum number of safety rules are represented. The safety rules presented are correct with a basic understanding of consequences. Safety symbols present.	Fair The safety rules/consequences presented are missing important facts or are unclear in the way you have chosen to present it. Safety symbols are present but not applied to correct tule	Poor The content is unclear, untrue, or non-existent. Information was not clear or did not put enough effort into the presentation of the information. Safety symbols not present.
Identification- poster, brochure or cartoon, game	Excellent Poster/Cartoon/Brochure is well identified with name, date, period/seat number, and assignment on the back right top corner.	Good Poster/Cartoon/Brochure is identified with name and date but not period/seat number or assignment on the back right top corner.	Fair Poster/Cartoon/Brochure is identified with name but not the date, period/seat number or assignment on the back right top corner.	Poor There is no identifying information.
Presentation- poster, brochure or cartoon, game	Excellent Poster/Cartoon/Brochure is very creative w/ color & appropriate pictures.
