Newspaper Article Content (10 marks)	Excellent Student demonstrates a strong understanding of the assignment and the newspaper article includes all information relevant to the topic in an organized fashion with columns.	Good Student demonstrates adequate understanding of the assignment and the newspaper article includes most of the relevant information about the topic but could be more effectively organized.	Satisfactory Student demonstrates some understanding of the assignment but only has some of the relevant information. There is not enough information presented and the information is unorganized.	Needs Improvement Student demonstrates little understanding of the assignment and the newspaper article is lacking in elements required. There are many gaps in the information presented.

Quality of Work (5 marks)	Excellent Student presented a well organized project that meets all criteria and shows that the learner is proud of his/her work. The effort that was put into this task is the best it can be by the learner.	Good Student presented the project with good effort that meets most of the criteria and shows what the learner is capable of. It is evident that time was put into this newspaper article.	Satisfactory Student presented a project that shows fair efforts but the quality is still not what the learner is capable of. It is evident that the work was rushed. It is evident that the work was rushed and little time was spent on the final product. Work is incomplete.
Creativity/Format (5 marks)	Excellent Final product was very creative in terms of topic selection and presentation. Pictures and important elements of the topic are presented and well organized.	Good Newspaper article was creative, however had room for improvement. Pictures and important elements are included but could be presented more effectively.	Satisfactory Newspaper article consisted of minimal creativity and had room for improvement. There is a lack of pictures or important elements of the country presented. A limited amount of enthusiasm and confidence is observed.	Needs Improvement Student often mumbles and can not be heard or understood. Multiple pronunciation errors and no enthusiasm nor confidence is observed.
Preparedness (10 marks)	Excellent Student is completely prepared, well rehearsed, has a complete understanding of the information and has presented all the content required of them in a sequential manner. Student is conscious of time limit and is clear and concise.	Good Student seems adequately prepared but might have needed a couple more rehearsals. Information is understood and a logical sequence is observed. Student could be more clear and concise with information.	Satisfactory Student is somewhat prepared but it is clear that rehearsal was lacking. Limited knowledge of the information and a somewhat logical sequence is observed. Delivery of important information is lacking.	Needs Improvement Student does not seem prepared to present. Information being presented is not understood by the student nor is it in a logical sequence. Student is not clear and concise with delivery of information.
