The following rubric is a checklist for your current singing skills in order to be assessed and assigned a voice part to sing in the chorus. You will be assessed on intonation, tone and vocal range and breath support.

Upon exhalation shoulders tense up and abdominal area collapses inward as diaphragm returns to natural position.

Upon exhalation students shoulders tense up and abdominal area collapses immediately.

Exemplary

Student's voice has a supported, resonant tone. It sounds natural and free.
Proficient

Student's voice is sometimes supported, however resonance is limited.
Satisfactory

Student's voice is barely supported with little or no resonance.
Needs Improvement

Student's voice is not supported or resonant.
Unsatifactory

Student's voice is not supported or resonant.
Voice does not sound free.
