During class you will be expected to play/sing a cover song of your groups' choosing with permission of instructor.You will be expected to play/sing with accuracy in melody, choral harmony, balance, steady tempo and rhythm and posture and expression.

You will be expected to play demonstrating your knowledge of correct string , finger, fret and rhythms that you are reading. You are expected to maintain a steady tempo and a clear ringing tone.

Guitar Progression Assessment
The following rubric is a checklist for your guitar progression and playing skills. You will have written a progression using at least 3 chords which begins and ends on the same chord. It may be 4 or 8 measures long. You are also to create a strumming pattern for it. During class you will play your progression composed by your group or self. You will be expected to play maintaining tempo, rhythm, balance and smooth chordal transitions throughout.

Guitar-Original Song Assessment
The following rubric is a checklist for your original song skills. During class you will play/sing an original song composed by your group or self. You will be expected to play/sing demonstrating a melodic difference between verse, chorus and bridge. Chorus must send main message and have a "hook". Lyrics must be in the form of a rhyme scheme and rhythmically flow with the melody. Group must maintain tempo, rhythm and balance throughout. Group must express the mood of the song.
