Meaning and Originality	N/A	Level Three Poem is creative and original. The overall product is carefully written. Thought and emotion are used.	Level Two The poem is creative, but appears to not be the best work of the poet.	Level One Poem appears to be rushed. Work is very repetitive, and ideas are impersonal or unoriginal.
Form	N/A	Level Three Poem is complete and follows intended form. mostly written in the proper forms.	Level Two Poem is mostly written in the proper form.	Level One Poem is not written in the proper form.
Grammar	N/A	Level Three Proper use of high frequency words and grammar is used consistently throughout the poem. Puncuation is used when necessary.	Level Two A couple of spelling or grammar mistakes are evident, but do not diminish the meaning of the poem. Punctuation is utilized when necessary.	Level One There are numerous spelling or grammar errors, making the poem difficult to understand. Puncutation is used incorrectly.
Attractiveness	N/A	Level Three The poem is attractive in terms of design, layout and neatness.	Level Two The poem is acceptably attractive though it may be a bit messy.	Level One The poem is distractingly messy or very poorly designed.
