Sources and Citation	Beginning No sources were used or cited.	Developing Some sources were missing or lacking proper documentation.	Advancing All 3 sources were used and properly cited. Two internet sources, one periodical source, and one other source.	Mastering Students researched topic and hit all the targets points. Information was relevant, detailed, and showed an accurate assessment of their understanding.
Organization	Beginning Report was disorganized and missing major components.	Developing Report was fairly well organized, but still a little confusing. Paragraphs did not run well together.	Advancing Report was very well organized. All parts were included and organized in a proficient manner. Paragraphs and main ideas were easy to follow and flowed nicely. Includes title page, report, and Bibliography or References page.	Mastering Group used all members to coordinate their efforts. Each member shared equal responsibility in this project.
Grammar and Punctuation	Beginning Very poor use of grammar and punctuation, many mistakes throughout the paper.	Developing Few grammatical errors and punctuation errors throughout the paper. Content	Beginning Report information lacking requirements. Poorly thought out and researched.	Developing Two or more of the "Good" requirements missing.	Advancing Content very well researched. A lot of detailed information. Clear ideas of how magnets were used. Specific examples of magnets uses. Clear ties to content information throughout the paper	Mastering Content demonstrates a complete understanding as we have learned in Science this year.
