Illustrator Playing Card Design Final Project

4 playing cards: King, Queen, Jack, Ace Size of playing card: 2.72” x 3.7” Artboard 2.48” x 3.46” Card size All 4 cards will be part of a Theme Create a sketch of each card for planning purposes - inspiration can be gathered from online or personal sources Sketches will be converted to a vectored illustration The Object/Transform/Rotate tool will be used Border included Background included Texture with masking will be used A pattern will be applied somewhere in your card design

Graphics/Border	Great Graphics are used to add interest and effectiveness to the card. The use of a standard playing card, is evident in the design and layout. Added suit	Good There are graphics, but no border. The effectiveness of the card is slightly evident, and the card could be effective.	Fair Choice of graphic used is plain. It shows no research.	Poor There is no use of colors or graphics in the design & it is ineffective.
Illustrator skills utilized	Great Student was able to showcase their skills and ability. There is evidence of: (6) 1. Clipping Mask (text or image layer) 2. Use of blend modes 3. Effective use of textures 4. Effective grouping 5. Effective selection work 6. Use of elements of design as it applies to layout & design.	Good Student highlighted their skills and ability. Work ethic	Great Student has committed time to their design in and outside of class, & it shows in their final product.	Good Student has place some time to their design in and outside of class, & the end product is suited.	Fair Design reflects very little commitment, reflection, revision or time associated with their design.	Poor Student didn't use their time wisely in their design at all.
