Poem Project

Students will choose a specific topic to write a poem about. The students will go through the writing process (prewriting, drafting, editing, revising and publishing) to create a poem that contains 4 stanzas with 4 lines in each stanza. The poem will have a consistent rhyme scheme throghout the poem. On the border around the poem, the student will create symbols that represent their poem.

Spelling/Grammar	Good Most words are spelled correctly. The poem contains no mistakes in punctuation and/or sentence structure.	Fair A few words are misspelled. The poem cotains a 1-3 mistakes in punctuation and/or sentence structure.	Poor Many words are misspelled. The poem contains 4+ punctuation and/or sentence structure errors.
