Class Behavior/Participation Class Behavior/Participation Students can earn from 0-6 points per class based on their preparation for and behavior during class. Class Behavior/Participation will account for 10% of the student's overall grade for the term (quarter). Respect for the Teacher defined in the student handbook.	0 Points Shows disrespect to teacher 1 or more times in a class period.	1 Point Shows lack of respect by talking, sleeping, doing other work, etc. Responds well to correction and does not need further correction.	2 Points Demonstrates respect to teacher with no corrections in a class period.
Class Preparedness	0 Points Is missing one or more of the following: textbook, notebook, pen/ pencil.	1 Point Has all other materials, but does not have workbook or calculator when needed.	2 Points Comes to class fully prepared. Has textbook, workbook, notebook, homework, pen/pencil, and calculator.
Attentiveness The student's overall attentiveness will directly affect his/her class experience and those of his/her classmates.	0 Points Behavior includes one of the following: talking in class, sleeping in class,	1 Point Not disruptive, but is unaware and has no relevant response when called upon.	2 Points Fully attentive, participates even when not called upon, and has something relevant to say when called upon
