Good A hypothesis is stated but is still somewhat unclear. Hypothesis provides some reasoning behind your thinking and uses some scientific language.	Fair The hypothesis is incomplete and/or unclear. Minimal rationale in support of statement and limited use of scientific language.	Poor A hypothesis has not been stated or is unrelated
Materials	Excellent ALL materials used in the experiment are plainly and correctly described.	Good Nearly all materials used in the experiment are plainly and correctly described.	Fair Many of the materials used in the experiment are correctly described and/or named	Poor Most materials are described inaccurately or not at all.
Procedures/Steps	Excellent Procedures are described in a clearly defined manner, adhering to syntax and proper grammar.	Good Procedures are described in a rational order, but poorly written, e.g., not numbered and/or consist of incomplete sentences.	Fair Procedures are described but are not in a rational order and/or hard to follow.	Poor Procedures do not correctly describe the steps of the experiment.

Good Conclusion describes if the hypothesis was supported or unsupported but limited explanation is provided.	Fair Conclusion present but does not accurately describe the findings and includes nothing about the original hypothesis.	Poor No conclusion present or shows minimal thought.
