Newspaper Project

Students are to newspaper, covering the Industrial Revolution and Oliver Twist. The Newspaper should include a 2 articles about the time period, 2 editorials, as well as other creative items such as pictures, obituaries, political cartoons, and advertisements.

Report is incomplete and/or inaccurate.	60-69% Level 2 Covers a fair amount, but is missing some of the main ideas of the play. Report is nearly complete and accurate.	70-79% Level 3 Newspaper is based on information provided in the text and course notes, a decent knowledge of the material is evident.	80-100% Level 4 Student is in command of the material and shows through and insightful information based on the text.
Thinking/Inquiry	Below Level 1 Student has not met minimum expectations.	50-59% Level 1 Very minimal amount of work has been done. Highly lacking in effort and/or creativity.	60-69% Level 2 Fair amount of effort and creativity has been put forth. Newspaper includes at least one article.	70-79% Level 3 Considerable amount of effort and creativity has been put forth.
